Kettle Hop Products
CO2 ExtractUsageAn extremely stable, convenient and concentrated alternative to the use of hops or hop pelletsDescriptionA golden/amber/green, semi-fluid syrup or paste at room temperature
Iso Kettle ExtractUsageTypically used in the kettle as 100 % replacement for normal kettle extracts.DescriptionA golden or pale brown thick syrup which becomes more fluid on warming; substantially more mobile than corresponding CO2 extract.
Aroma ExtractUsageAdded to the kettle to achieve a characteristic hop aroma. Aids in suppressing foam formation at the beginning of wort boiling.DescriptionDark brown semisolid extract containing hop essential oils and waxes.
Type 45 PelletsUsageProduces flavours in beer indistinguishable from those of leaf hops. Provide bitterness and aroma to beer.DescriptionCylindrical pellets produced from dried, milled and pressed leaf hops
Type 90 PelletsUsageReduces alpha acids utilization but increases hop aroma and flavor. They deliver higher yields, more consistent quality and improved storage stability.DescriptionCylindrical pellets produced from dried, milled and pressed leaf hops.
Lupulin PowderUsageAchieve intense hop flavor and aroma without introducing the undesired astringent or vegetal flavors. It also increases yield, as traditional pellets and whole-leaf hops act like sponges, green matter soaking up precious beer.DescriptionMechanically purified hop powder.
Iso–Hop PelletsUsageBeers with identical flavor profiles can be produced when Iso-Pellets are used in place of standard pellets. Iso-Hop Pellets increase hop aroma and flavor.DescriptionCylindrical pellets made from dried, milled and pressed leaf hops; most of the alpha acids in these pellets have been converted to iso-alpha acids.
Light Stable Aroma ExtractUsageTypically added to the wort kettle to achieve a characteristic hop aroma. An early addition suppresses foam formation at the beginning of wort boiling.DescriptionDark brown, semisolid extract containing hop essential oils and waxes.
Light Stable Kettle ExtractUsageTypically added to the wort kettle as a complete or partial replacement for any other light stable hop product. Furthermore the dosage of LSKE during wort boiling reduces the risk of bacterial infection.DescriptionReddish to yellow-green, semi-fluid syrup or paste.
Downstream Hop Products
Tetra Iso-ExtractUsageTypically added after fermentation and before final filtration.DescriptionA homogeneous, yellow to amber, clear aqueous solution; mobile and free flowing at all normal storage and use temperatures. Miscible with demineralized water and alcohol.
Hexa Iso-ExtractUsageHexa is typically used as a post- fermentation addition and prior to the final step in filtration.DescriptionAmber, aqueous solution of the potassium salts of primarily hexahydro iso-alpha acids.
Iso–Hop Extract 30%UsageIso-Extract is typically used for the post fermentation adjustment of beer bitterness.DescriptionClear, pale amber to yellow aqueous solution of the potassium salts of iso-alpha acids.
Alpha ExtractUsageAlpha Extract is typically added before the final step in filtration.DescriptionYellow to amber solution containing the potassium salts of alpha acids from hops.
Hop Oils and Special Hop Products
Hop Oil Type NobleUsageAn almost colorless, clear liquid containing the essential hop oils required for achieving ‘noble’ hop characterDescriptionHop Oil - Type NOBLE provides a typical, pleasant flowery aroma in beer due to its special composition of aroma substances
Hop Oil Type Noble PlusUsageSupplied as a 1:100 dilution in propylene glycol. The quantity of the hop oil addition is determined by the brewer and depends on the time and point of the addition.DescriptionPure hop oils diluted in propylene glycol, resulting in a product diluted to 1:100.
Hop Oil (Thin Film)UsageHop Oil (thin film) can be added at different stages of beer production. Dosing equipment which pumps the product into the beer stream is preferred for the addition of Hop Oil (thin film).DescriptionPure hop oil made from thin film evaporation of CO2-hop extract.
