Introducing the LalBrew® Limited Release Series – a curated collection of yeast strains that offer unique brewing characteristics, developed in collaboration with select global brewing partners. This series is all about unlocking creativity and trialling yeast strains with distinctive regional styles, flavour profiles, or performance traits.
Limited Release strains will generally be one-time productions, with availability on a first come, first served basis. Under the LalBrew® umbrella brand, the series promises the same high standards of quality and repitchability. Each strain is selected to meet one of the diverse needs of innovative brewers, providing a platform for experimentation and discovery.
The first in the series? LalBrew Aurora™ Northern IPA.
LalBrew Aurora™ Northern IPA: Clean, Crisp, and Hazy-Ready
Crafted in collaboration with a renowned Canadian brewery, Aurora™ is a versatile ale strain that’s perfect for juicy, hazy styles where you want hop aroma to shine through without yeast character competing in the background.
This strain delivers:
- Neutral to slightly fruity flavour profile
- High attenuation and good flocculation
- Low ester and phenol production, making it an ideal base for hop-forward beers
- Excellent biotransformation potential, amplifying aroma during dry hopping
It’s designed to perform well in cold climates and is especially effective for brewers looking to get a dry, clean finish in New England IPAs, pale ales, or modern hop-forward styles.
